Tips & Hints

  • Make sure all your injection have been given as a certificate will be required to get your Hajj visa.
  • Make sure you know your Faridah and Wajibat of Hajj. Try to attend seminars on perforning Hajj.
  • Travel light, as most items can be purchased from either Makkah or Madinah, so take only the essentials.
  • Take a travel first aid kit.
  • Purchase two sets of Ihraam sheets (men only).
  • When in the state of Ihram, soreness of the inner thighs is very common. Applying unscented Vaseline will prevent this discomfort.
  • Mark your suitcase clearly as many suitcases look alike.
  • If you are travelling to makkah first, DO NOT PUT YOUR IHRAAM CLOTH IN YOUR SUITCASE as you will pass the Meeqat before you retreive your luggage.
  • When you arrive at your hotel, make sure you take address cards from the reception and distribute them amongst your family and group members.
  • Once you arrive at your hotel, try to take rest before going out to perform your Umrah, as the journey will be tiresome.

  3. Spare glasses for those who need them.
  4. Pebble bags for Jamaraat.
  5. Pump bag for shoes.
  6. Enable international roaming before you leave or unlock your mobile phone so you can use a Saudi Pay As You Go sim. (unlocking your phone may invalidate your warranty. check with your service provider before commnecing).
  7. Exchange a small amount of currency.
  8. Money belt or pouch to keep your valuables.
  9. Reading material.
  10. Pen and Notepad.
